Corrupted Surges

Corrupted Surges are powerful temporary effects unlocked through the Corruption Manifesto.

Add 1 Corrupted Page to the Corruption Manifesto to unlock Corruption Surges. The initial creation of the book provides 50 charges. Once those charges have been consumed, players must add Corrupted Energy to recharge the book.

Unlocking Corruption Surges

How Corruption Surges Work

While the Corruption Manifesto has charges remaining, every successful hit has a 1/150 chance to activate a Corruption Surge.

Each successful hit consumes 1 charge, even when a Surge does not activate.

When all charges have been consumed, the Corruption Manifesto becomes dormant. A dormant Manifesto retains its base stats but cannot activate Corruption Surges until it has been recharged.

Surge Effects

When a Corruption Surge activates:

• The Surge remains active for 30 seconds.
• No charges are consumed while the Surge is active.
• Another Surge cannot activate until the current 30-second effect has ended.
• The player receives 10% increased damage.
• The player gains an additional hit.

Note: Corruption Surges can only activate while the Corruption Manifesto has charges remaining.
