Training combat skills in Redemption is quite fast. There are several places to get started. Players can use the Train Teleport and attack the various NPCs to get started.

Slayer is a great option to level combat skills. To begin slayer, a player may use the command "::slayer" or "Ctrl + S" and choose a task.
Magic is a combat skill that allows the player to cast spells against monsters in order to defeat them. Spells are built in to magic weapons and runes are NOT required.
