The M4A4 Asiimov is a semi-powerful early-game two-handed ranged weapon. Like the AWP Asiimov, it is a single-target weapon and is generally outclassed by its other brother, the multi-target Ak-47 Asiimov. Because they're both available to the player in the same part of the game, it's generally recommended to take the Ak-47 Asiimov over the M4A4 Asiimov when possible.
To obtain the M4A4 Asiimov the player can attempt to upgrade a Golden Minigun at ::upgrade, which is rated at a 10% chance.
