New Player Guide

Welcome to Redemption! This guide is designed to help brand-new players understand what to focus on during their first few days.

Redemption has a lot of custom systems, bosses, gear, events, shops, account progression, and long-term upgrades. That can feel overwhelming at first. This guide does not try to explain everything. Instead, it gives you a practical early path to follow so you can build your account, earn money, and reach a point where the rest of the game starts to make more sense.

Your first week will mostly revolve around Slayer, especially Hard Slayer Tasks. Slayer helps you build gear, earn points, unlock important systems, and progress toward stronger account bonuses.

Starter Code: Type ::code-wikistarter in-game to claim the current wiki starter code.

Using This Guide: Many systems mentioned in this guide are linked to their own wiki pages. If you see a blue link, click it to open a more detailed guide for that system. This page gives you the main path to follow, while the linked guides explain the details.

Core Early Game Loop

The early game is mainly about building momentum through Slayer. Your goal is not to master every system immediately. Your goal is to reach a stable place where you have Slayer prestiges, gear, Prayer, Karma, and enough account progression to start making your own decisions.

Step 1
Start Slayer
Use Slayer as your main early progression system.
Step 2
Unlock Hard Tasks
Step 3
Stack Skips
Earn Slayer skips from the Global Slayer Drop Table while completing Hard Tasks.
Step 4
Build Account Power
Work on gear, Prayer, Karma, Daily Tasks, and Paragon systems.

Main idea: Complete Hard Slayer Tasks, earn Slayer points, roll the Global Slayer Drop Table, collect Slayer skips, and push toward higher Slayer Prestiges. This is the main path that gets new players into the more modern part of the game.

Why Voting Matters

Rewards

Voting helps Redemption grow while giving rewards back to your account.

Use ::vote to vote, then use ::redeem to claim your rewards.

Events to Watch For

Events are not meant to replace your normal progression path, but they are still worth paying attention to. If an event is active, it is usually a good idea to go because you can earn money, receive useful rewards, and engage with the community.

New Player Tip: Skilling events have no skilling level requirements. PvM events may require you to survive the boss or area, but they typically do not require a high Slayer Prestige to participate. Most PvM events are masses with enough players to help carry newer players, and the boosted loot often makes them worth attending.

Weekend Events
Event Length Description
Bounty Hunter Weekend Event 48 to 72 Hours Players attempt to be one of the first 3 to collect a specified item from a list of items.
PvM Bingo 48 Hours Players try to complete a row up, down, or diagonal by earning collection log drops shown on ::bingo. Complete the drops and earn a huge reward.
Lost Relics 72 Hours Players collect as many Lost Relics as possible from various bosses and skilling activities. The top 5 win rewards.
Slayer Showdown 48 Hours Players earn as many points as possible by completing Slayer tasks, contracts, and Executioner tasks. The top 5 win rewards.
Vaultbreaker 72 Hours Players collect vault key fragments from a specific list of bosses. The top 3 keep their fragments and can turn them into keys used at the Vault.
Weekend Event Box Reward Item A reward box commonly used throughout Weekend Events.

When in doubt, show up. Even if you are new, events are a good way to make money, see what other players are doing, and get involved with the community.

Slayer Skips and the Global Slayer Drop Table

After reaching Slayer Prestige 1, you can begin earning important Slayer skip items from the Global Slayer Drop Table. This table can be accessed while completing Hard Slayer Tasks. Each kill completed during a Hard Slayer Task gives you a chance to roll on the Global Slayer Drop Table.

Allows you to skip specific Slayer Prestige tasks from Prestige 6-15. These are very important for pushing into higher Slayer Prestiges faster.
Allows you to skip Slayer Prestiges 1-5 without having to level them manually.
A rare Global Slayer Drop Table reward available from Prestige 1-10. If you receive one, use it as soon as possible.

Important: Stack up Slayer Prestige Task Skips as much as possible. Continuing Hard Slayer Tasks and collecting skips is usually the fastest way to move into the more modern Slayer Prestiges.

First Five Days Roadmap

This roadmap does not have to be followed perfectly. Some players will move faster, and some will move slower. The point is to give you a clear direction so you know what to focus on first.

Roadmap Overview
Day Main Focus Target Goals
Day 1 Player's Task Companion, Slayer, Hard Tasks, Gear Progression Prestige 1 Slayer, Hard Tasks unlocked
Day 2 Prestige 5 Slayer, Prayer, Daily Tasks, Task Skips Player's Task Companion finished, 150 Prayer, Prestige 5 Slayer, Tier 2 Gear
Day 3 Boss Tasks, Konar Tasks, Slayer points, Karma Boss/Konar unlocks started, Karma Book started, Tier 3-4 Gear
Day 4 Item Grinder, Advanced Item Grinder unlock, Slayer 11+ 25M Grinder Points goal, Prestige 11+, Tier 5 Gear
Day 5 Early Midgame setup Solid Slayer loop, Prayer/Karma started, gear path understood

Day 1 - Start Slayer and Unlock the Global Slayer Drop Table

Goal: Work on the Player's Task Companion, start Slayer, unlock Hard Slayer Tasks, check Gear Progression, and reach at least Slayer Prestige 1.

Start working through the Player's Task Companion. It gives early objectives, teaches basic systems, and gives useful starter rewards.
Open Slayer with ::slayer or CTRL + S. Slayer should become your main early-game activity.
Hard Slayer Tasks are important because they allow you to roll on the Global Slayer Drop Table after reaching Prestige 1.
Use Gear Progression to understand what your next upgrades should be. Do not worry about perfect gear yet.

Day 1 Targets: Reach Slayer Prestige 1 and unlock Hard Slayer Tasks.

Day 2 - Build Slayer Momentum and Start Account Progression

Goal: Finish the Player's Task Companion if possible, push toward Slayer Prestige 5, collect Slayer Prestige Task Skips, start Prayer, and begin Daily Tasks.

Hard Slayer Tasks should be your main loop. Each kill gives you a chance to roll on the Global Slayer Drop Table once you are Prestige 1.
Work toward Slayer Prestige 5. Slayer Prestige Skips can help skip Prestiges 1-5 if you receive them.
Begin Prayer progression. A strong early target is at least 150 Prayer, with the long-term goal of maxing Prayer for protection prayers.
Start completing Daily Tasks and learning the Daily Task Paragon System for account progression.

Day 2 Targets: Finish the Player's Task Companion if able, reach at least 150 Prayer, reach Slayer Prestige 5, complete as many Daily Tasks as possible, and work toward Tier 2 Gear.

Day 3 - Unlock Slayer Options, Prayer, and Karma

Goal: Continue Slayer, unlock useful Slayer task options, stack Slayer points, progress Prayer, and begin Karma.

Boss Tasks and Konar Tasks
Use Slayer points to begin unlocking important task options such as Boss Tasks and Konar Tasks. These become useful for higher Slayer Prestige requirements and better progression.
Stack Slayer Points
Keep earning Slayer points. At Slayer Prestige 8, the Slayer Paragon System unlocks and gives you another important place to spend points.
Progress Prayer
Keep working on Prayer. Long-term, maxing Prayer to Prestige 3, Level 150 is important because of protection prayers.
Start Karma
Look into the Karma skill and begin working toward your first Karma Book. Even the first Karma Book is valuable because it provides extra damage.

Day 3 Targets: Start Boss Tasks and Konar Tasks, continue stacking Slayer points, begin Karma, work toward your first Karma Book, and aim for Tier 3 Gear while moving toward Tier 4.

Day 4 - Item Grinder, Advanced Item Grinder, and Prestige 11+

Goal: Learn the Item Grinder, work toward unlocking the Advanced Item Grinder, continue Slayer, and push into higher Slayer Prestiges.

The Item Grinder turns certain items into Grinder Points. These points are used in the Item Grinder Rewards Shop and help unlock future grinder progression.
Your goal is to earn 25M Grinder Points to unlock the Advanced Item Grinder and its Paragon System.
Continue Slayer
Slayer is still a major factor. Continue Hard Slayer Tasks, earn skips, and push toward Slayer Prestige 11+.
Use Prestige Tasks Wisely
If you find a Slayer Prestige task you can do and enjoy, complete it. Otherwise, keep stacking Slayer Prestige Task Skips from Hard Slayer Tasks.

Warning: Do not blindly grind items. Some items may be needed later for upgrades, Gear Progression, Karma, Salvage, or another system.

Day 4 Targets: Work toward 25M Grinder Points, push toward Slayer Prestige 11+, continue Hard Slayer Tasks, and aim for about Tier 5 Gear.

Day 5 - Early Midgame Goals

Goal: Move from beginner progression into early midgame with a clear understanding of what to keep working on.

By Day 5, you should understand the main loop of Redemption: Slayer, Hard Tasks, Global Slayer Drop Table rolls, Slayer Prestige Task Skips, gear upgrades, Prayer, Karma, Daily Tasks, and account Paragon systems.

Gear Goal
Aim to be around Tier 5 Slayer Gear from the Gear Progression page. Do not worry if you are slightly behind. The important thing is knowing your next upgrade.
What Comes Next?
Continue Slayer Prestige progression, work on Paragon systems, finish Prayer goals, build Karma, upgrade gear, and begin learning more bossing content.

Day 5 Target: You should be in a strong enough place to keep following the Slayer loop while asking questions, learning bosses, and choosing which account systems to push next.
