New Player Guide

Welcome to Redemption! This guide is designed to help brand-new players understand what to do after logging in for the first time.

Redemption is a custom RSPS with faster progression, custom bosses, custom gear, events, Slayer prestiges, account progression systems, and unique rewards.

Instead of trying to explain every system at once, this page gives you a simple early-game path to follow.

Quick Start

Step 1
Claim Starter Code
Use the wiki starter code in-game for an early boost.
Step 2
Start Slayer
Slayer is your main early-game progression loop.
Step 3
Follow Events
Events are great for rewards, supplies, and community activity.
Step 4
Upgrade Gear
Use Gear Progression to know what your next upgrade should be.

Starter Code: Type ::code-wikistarter in-game to claim the current wiki starter code.

Useful Commands

Basic Commands
Command Use
::wiki Opens the Redemption Wiki.
::vote Opens the voting page.
::redeem Redeems vote rewards.
::slayer or CTRL + S Opens Slayer.
::teleports or CTRL + T Opens the teleport menu.
::shops Opens the shop area.
::home or CTRL + H Returns home.

Why Voting Matters

Rewards
Voting can reward vote boxes, vote tickets, supplies, and useful progression items.
Daily Habit
Vote before starting your session for the day.
Server Support
Voting helps Redemption grow while giving you rewards for your account.

Use ::vote to vote, then copy the code by using the icon beside it, or use ::redeem-CODEHERE to claim your rewards.

Events to Watch For

Events are not meant to replace your normal progression path, but they are still worth paying attention to. If an event is active, it is usually a good idea to go because you can earn money, receive useful rewards, and engage with the community.

New Player Tip: Skilling events have no skilling level requirements. PvM events may require you to survive the boss or area, but they typically do not require a high Slayer Prestige to participate. Most PvM events are masses with enough players to help carry newer players, and the boosted loot often makes them worth attending.

Weekend Events
Event Length Description
Bounty Hunter Weekend Event Weekend Long Players attempt to be one of the first 3 to collect a specified item from a list of items.
PvM Bingo 48 Hours Players try to complete a row up, down, or diagonal by earning collection log drops shown on ::bingo. Complete the drops and earn a huge reward.
Lost Relics 72 Hours Players collect as many Lost Relics as possible from various bosses and skilling activities. The top 5 win rewards.
Slayer Showdown 48 Hours Players earn as many points as possible by completing Slayer tasks, contracts, and Executioner tasks. The top 5 win rewards.
Vaultbreaker 72 Hours Players collect vault key fragments from a specific list of bosses. The top 3 keep their fragments and can turn them into keys used at the Vault.
Weekend Event Box Reward Item A reward box commonly used throughout Weekend Events.

When in doubt, show up. Even if you are new, events are a good way to make money, see what other players are doing, and get involved with the community.

First Five Days Roadmap

This roadmap does not have to be followed by exact real-life days. Some players progress faster, while others take longer. Treat each day as a milestone.

Day 1
Start Slayer
Learn commands, open the Player's Task Companion, and begin Slayer.
Day 2
Build Momentum
Continue Hard Slayer tasks, push prestiges, and prepare for Paragon.
Day 3
Add Systems
Start Prayer, Karma, daily tasks, and deeper Slayer progression.
Day 4
Learn Item Value
Understand Item Grinder and Advanced Item Grinder before grinding items.
Day 5
Enter Midgame
Push toward Tier 5 Slayer gear and begin preparing for bossing.

Day 1 - Start Slayer and Learn the Core Loop

Goal: Start Slayer, learn the basic progression loop, and begin working toward Slayer Prestige 1-5.

Player's Task Companion
Use the Player's Task Companion to learn early objectives and claim useful starter rewards.
Start Slayer
Open Slayer with ::slayer or CTRL + S, then begin completing tasks.
Prestige 1-5
Complete tasks, earn Slayer experience and points, prestige when ready, and repeat.
Check Gear Progression
Use Gear Progression to understand what your next upgrades should be.

Day 2 - Slayer Momentum and Paragon Prep

Goal: Continue Slayer, push toward Prestige 6-10, prepare for Slayer Paragon, and keep upgrading gear.

Hard Slayer Tasks
Hard tasks should become your main early progression loop once available.
Prestige Tasks
Higher prestiges may require specific tasks, boss kills, sacrificed keys, or other goals.
Slayer Paragon
At Slayer Prestige 8, the Slayer Paragon System becomes available.

Important: Do not switch away from Hard Slayer tasks too early. Using Slayer Prestige Task Skips for prestige requirements is usually faster.

Day 3 - Prayer, Karma, Slayer 11+, and Daily Progression

Goal: Begin working on support systems that make your account stronger outside of raw gear.

Continue Slayer
Keep Slayer as your main progression activity while pushing into Prestige 11+.
Prayer
Start learning how Prayer is trained and which unlocks matter for your stage.
Karma
Begin learning Karma, Karma food, and why it matters later.
Daily Routine
Vote, check events, complete useful daily tasks, and continue Slayer.

Day 4 - Item Grinder and Advanced Item Grinder

Goal: Learn how unwanted items turn into long-term value through the Item Grinder systems.

Item Grinder
The Item Grinder turns certain items into Grinder Points for the Item Grinder Rewards Shop.
Duplicate Items
Before selling or grinding duplicates, check whether they are used for upgrades or progression.
Advanced Item Grinder
This becomes more useful as you collect higher-value duplicate items and advanced materials.

Warning: Do not blindly grind items. Some items may be needed later for upgrades, Gear Progression, Karma, Salvage, or another system.

Day 5 - Early Midgame Goals

Goal: Move from beginner progression into early midgame.

By Day 5, you should understand the core loop of Redemption: Slayer, events, gear upgrades, account progression, and bossing.

Gear Goal
Aim to be around Tier 5 Slayer Gear from the Gear Progression page.
What Comes Next?
Continue Slayer Prestige progression, bossing, events, Prayer, Karma, Paragon, and grinder systems.

  • Doing outdated starter methods just because an old guide mentions them.
  • Grinding or selling items before checking whether they are needed.
  • Ignoring voting and events.
  • Switching away from Hard Slayer tasks too early.
