The World Boss is a recurring global PVM event. Every 2 hours, the spawn itself as well as the location will be announced.
You can speak to the World Boss Announcer at home to check the timer if you miss the announcement.
After killing the World Boss the player will receive a 10% Drop Rate bonus that lasts 1 hour!
The World Boss will either drop the World Box or World Box Keys. Both of these are untradable but you are able to exchange boxes for keys and vice versa at a rate of 2:1. On top of these two drops, you also have the chance to get a scroll that will reward you with the title The World Guardian. If you are lucky enough the World Boss will also now drop the World's Globe Pet.
In addition to the drop table, players also receive one World Boss Point to be used in the World Boss Shop.
