== Introduction ==
Welcome to ‘’‘Redemption’’’! This guide is designed to help a brand-new player understand what to do after logging in for the first time.
Instead of explaining every system at once, this page focuses on the most important early progression path:
* Learning the basics
* Starting Slayer
* Using events
* Building gear
* Unlocking important account systems
* Moving toward early midgame

== What is a Custom RSPS? ==
== What is a Custom RSPS? ==

Redemption is a custom RuneScape Private Server, often called an RSPS. This means it is based on RuneScape-style gameplay, but includes custom bosses, custom gear, faster progression, unique events, special progression systems, Slayer prestiges, custom pets, and server-specific rewards.
A ‘’‘RuneScape Private Server’’’ is a custom version of RuneScape-style gameplay. Redemption includes faster progression, custom bosses, custom gear, events, Slayer prestiges, account progression systems, and unique rewards.

If you are new to private servers, the biggest difference is that progression moves much faster than the official game. Your goal is not simply to level skills — your goal is to unlock systems, upgrade gear, complete Slayer progression, and build toward stronger PvM content.
If you are new to private servers, the biggest difference is that progression is much faster and more focused on unlocking custom systems.

Events are one of the easiest ways for new players to get involved with the server. Even if you are not strong yet, many events are worth attending because they provide rewards, community activity, or progression materials.
Events are a great way for new players to earn rewards, meet other players, and progress without needing endgame gear.

=== Step 3 - Work Toward Slayer Prestige 1-5 ===

Your first major goal is to progress through Slayer Prestiges 1–5. These early prestiges are done by leveling Slayer and prestiging.
Your first major Slayer goal is reaching ‘’‘Slayer Prestige 1-5’’’.

Do not worry about every advanced Slayer system yet. Your goal today is simple:
Early Slayer progression is simple:

* Complete Slayer tasks
Complete Slayer tasks.
* Earn Slayer experience
* Earn Slayer points
* Learn task streaks
* Unlock Hard tasks when ready
* Begin building toward Prestige 5

=== Step 4 — Unlock Hard Slayer Tasks ===
Earn Slayer experience.

Once you have enough Slayer points, unlock Hard Slayer tasks.
Earn Slayer points.

Hard tasks are important because they become the main early progression loop. They help you earn better rewards and begin preparing for later Slayer prestige requirements.

=== Step 5 — Check Your Gear ===
Repeat until Prestige 5.

Open the Gear Progression page and compare your equipment to the early Slayer gear tiers.
=== Step 4 - Unlock Hard Slayer Tasks ===

For Day 1, you are not expected to have perfect gear. Your goal is simply to understand what your next upgrades are.
Once possible, unlock ‘’‘Hard Slayer Tasks’’’. Hard tasks become the main early progression loop and are important for later Slayer prestige requirements.

=== Step 5 - Check Gear Progression ===

Open the ‘’’[[Gear Progression]]’’’ page and compare your current gear to the early Slayer gear tiers.

=== Step 1 Continue Hard Slayer Tasks ===
=== Step 1 - Continue Hard Slayer Tasks ===

At this stage, Hard Slayer tasks are your main loop.
Hard Slayer tasks should now become your main loop.

The basic loop is:

<pre>
<pre>
Complete Hard Slayer Task
Complete Hard Task
Earn Slayer Points and Keys
Earn Slayer Points and Keys
Open or save rewards
Upgrade Gear
Upgrade gear
Repeat
Repeat
</pre>
</pre>

=== Step 2 Understand Prestige 6–10 ===
=== Step 2 - Understand Prestige 6-10 ===

After Prestige 5, Slayer progression changes. You no longer simply level Slayer repeatedly. Instead, higher prestiges require specific tasks, boss kills, sacrificed keys, Slayer completions, and other requirements.
After Prestige 5, Slayer progression becomes more requirement-based. Higher prestiges may require specific tasks, boss kills, sacrificed keys, Slayer completions, or other goals.

Do not panic when you see the list. You are not meant to finish everything instantly.
Do not try to finish everything at once. Continue building progress through Hard tasks.

=== Step 3 — Current Recommended Strategy ===
=== Step 3 - Use Slayer Prestige Task Skips Efficiently ===

For Prestige 6–10, the current best approach is generally to continue doing Hard Slayer tasks and earn Slayer Prestige Task Skips instead of immediately grinding every prestige task manually.
The current recommended strategy is to continue completing ‘’‘Hard Slayer Tasks’’’ and earn ‘’‘Slayer Prestige Task Skips’’’ instead of immediately grinding every prestige task manually.

<div style="background:#221b13; border-left:5px solid #f0ad4e; border-radius:8px; padding:12px; margin:14px 0; color:#f5e6c8;">
<div style="margin: 14px 0; padding: 12px; border-left: 5px solid #f0ad4e; background: #221b13; color: #f5e6c8;">
'''Important:''' Do not rush into every Prestige task just because it appears in the interface. Continuing Hard tasks and earning skips is usually faster for early Prestige progression.
'''Important:''' Do not switch away from Hard Slayer tasks too early. Using skips for Prestige requirements is usually faster.

</div>

=== Step 4 Unlock Slayer Paragon at Prestige 8 ===
=== Step 4 - Unlock Slayer Paragon ===

At Slayer Prestige 8, the Slayer Paragon system becomes available. This system lets you spend Slayer Points on account boosts.
At ‘’‘Slayer Prestige 8’’’, the ‘’’[[Slayer Paragon System]]’’’ becomes available.

Paragon boosts include:

New Player Guide
A step-by-step roadmap for your first few days on Redemption.

TOC

Introduction

Welcome to ‘’‘Redemption’’’! This guide is designed to help a brand-new player understand what to do after logging in for the first time.

Instead of explaining every system at once, this page focuses on the most important early progression path:

  • Learning the basics
  • Starting Slayer
  • Using events
  • Building gear
  • Unlocking important account systems
  • Moving toward early midgame

What is a Custom RSPS?

A ‘’‘RuneScape Private Server’’’ is a custom version of RuneScape-style gameplay. Redemption includes faster progression, custom bosses, custom gear, events, Slayer prestiges, account progression systems, and unique rewards.

If you are new to private servers, the biggest difference is that progression is much faster and more focused on unlocking custom systems.

First Five Days Roadmap

This roadmap does not have to be followed by exact real-life days. Some players will progress faster, while others may take longer. Use each day as a milestone.

Day 1 - Start Slayer and Learn the Core Loop

Goal:
Start Slayer, learn the basic progression loop, and begin working toward Slayer Prestige 1-5.

Step 1 - Open the Player’s Task Companion

The ‘’‘Player’s Task Companion’’’ gives early objectives and rewards. Use it to learn the server and pick up useful early progression rewards.

Focus especially on tasks involving:

  • Slayer tasks
  • Hard Slayer tasks
  • Voting
  • World bosses
  • Early combat progression

Step 2 - Start Slayer

Open Slayer with:

::slayer

or use:

CTRL + S

Start completing Slayer tasks to earn Slayer experience, Slayer points, keys, and progression.

Step 3 - Work Toward Slayer Prestige 1-5

Your first major Slayer goal is reaching ‘’‘Slayer Prestige 1-5’’’.

Early Slayer progression is simple:

Complete Slayer tasks.

Earn Slayer experience.

Earn Slayer points.

Prestige when ready.

Repeat until Prestige 5.

Step 4 - Unlock Hard Slayer Tasks

Once possible, unlock ‘’‘Hard Slayer Tasks’’’. Hard tasks become the main early progression loop and are important for later Slayer prestige requirements.

Step 5 - Check Gear Progression

Open the ‘’’Gear Progression’’’ page and compare your current gear to the early Slayer gear tiers.

Do not worry about perfect gear on Day 1. Your goal is to understand what your next upgrades are.

-

Learned basic commands

-

Day 2 - Slayer Momentum and Paragon Prep

Goal:
Continue Slayer, push toward Prestige 6-10, prepare for Slayer Paragon, and keep upgrading gear.

Step 1 - Continue Hard Slayer Tasks

Hard Slayer tasks should now become your main loop.

Complete Hard Task
Earn Slayer Points and Keys
Upgrade Gear
Repeat

Step 2 - Understand Prestige 6-10

After Prestige 5, Slayer progression becomes more requirement-based. Higher prestiges may require specific tasks, boss kills, sacrificed keys, Slayer completions, or other goals.

Do not try to finish everything at once. Continue building progress through Hard tasks.

Step 3 - Use Slayer Prestige Task Skips Efficiently

The current recommended strategy is to continue completing ‘’‘Hard Slayer Tasks’’’ and earn ‘’‘Slayer Prestige Task Skips’’’ instead of immediately grinding every prestige task manually.

Important: Do not switch away from Hard Slayer tasks too early. Using skips for Prestige requirements is usually faster.

Step 4 - Unlock Slayer Paragon

At ‘’‘Slayer Prestige 8’’’, the ‘’’Slayer Paragon System’’’ becomes available.

Paragon allows you to spend Slayer Points on account boosts such as:

  • Tribrid stats
  • Tribrid percent
  • Max hit
  • Drop rate
  • ELO
  • Double drop rate
  • XP bonus

Day 3 - Prayer, Karma, Slayer 11+, and Daily Progression

Goal:
Begin working on support systems that make your account stronger outside of raw gear.

Step 1 - Continue Slayer

Slayer should still be your main progression activity. Continue pushing into ‘’‘Slayer Prestige 11+’’’ while improving your account through supporting systems.

Step 2 - Begin Prayer Progression

Prayer is an important long-term system. By this stage, begin learning:

  • How Prayer is trained
  • Which materials are needed
  • Which unlocks matter for your stage

Step 3 - Begin Karma

Karma is another important custom progression system. Start learning:

  • Where Karma begins
  • What Karma food is used for
  • Why Karma matters later
  • How Karma connects to long-term progression

Step 4 - Build a Daily Routine

Your daily routine should include:

  • Voting
  • Checking events
  • Completing useful daily tasks
  • Continuing Slayer
  • Spending Slayer Points carefully
  • Progressing Paragon if unlocked

}

Day 4 - Item Grinder and Advanced Item Grinder

Goal:
Learn how unwanted items turn into long-term value through the Item Grinder systems.

Step 1 - Learn the Item Grinder

The ‘’’Item Grinder’’’ turns certain items into Grinder Points. These points are used in the Item Grinder Rewards Shop.

Before grinding anything valuable, check whether the item is needed for upgrades, gear progression, Karma, Salvage, or another system.

Warning: Do not blindly grind items. Some items may be needed later.

Step 2 - Clean Up Duplicate Items

By now, you may have extra items from Slayer, boxes, bosses, or events.

Before selling or grinding anything, ask:

  • Is this used in an upgrade?
  • Is this part of my gear path?
  • Is this useful for Karma, Salvage, or another system?
  • Is this safe to grind?

Step 3 - Learn the Advanced Item Grinder

Once you understand the basic Item Grinder, begin learning the ‘’‘Advanced Item Grinder’’’.

This becomes more useful as you start collecting higher-value duplicate items and advanced progression materials.

Day 4 Checklist

Task Done

Read the Item Grinder page

-

Checked grinder values before grinding items

-

Cleaned up duplicate items carefully

-

Started learning Advanced Item Grinder

-

Continued Slayer and gear progression

}

Day 5 - Early Midgame Goals

Goal:
Move from beginner progression into early midgame.

By Day 5, you should understand the core loop of Redemption:

Slayer
Events
Gear Upgrades
Account Progression
Bossing

Gear Goal

By this stage, aim to be around ‘’‘Tier 5 Slayer Gear’’’ from the ‘’’Gear Progression’’’ page.

Do not worry if you are not perfectly there yet. The important thing is knowing what your next upgrade is and how to work toward it.

Common Mistakes

Avoid these early mistakes:

  • Trying to learn every system on Day 1.
  • Ignoring Slayer.
  • Spending Slayer Points without understanding Paragon.
  • Doing outdated starter methods just because an old guide mentions them.
  • Grinding or selling items before checking whether they are needed.
  • Ignoring voting and events.
  • Switching away from Hard Slayer tasks too early.
