Hardcore mode is the most popular game mode in DreamScape. Harcore accounts gain exp ten times slower than normal accounts, but gain a 15% drop rate bonus right upon account creation. Because of the high exp rates in DreamScape, you will still gain experience incredibly quickly. This account type is the most popular since you can still attain maxed combat stats in a matter of hours, and the drop rate bonus is extremely valuable.

Competitive is DreamScape's newest game mode. Competitive mode is a seasonal game time which DreamScape began running monthly, starting in February 2019. Competitive mode accounts are functionally identical to Ironman accounts, but in competitive mode you get to compete for prizes which get awarded at the end of each month. After a season ends, competitive accounts get reverted into regular ironman accounts, but get to keep all items and stats obtained during the season.
