One of the most appealing features we have on DreamScape is the ability to upgrade items. This mechanic allows harder-to-find items to enter the game more easily, and keeps common, cheap items circulating in order to hold a stable economy.

Upgrades can be accessed by typing ::upgrade, and then interacting with either the Resource Trader or the Upgrade Chest.

The Upgrade Chest is the original source of upgrades; its upgrades require no scavenger levels, and are available to all.

With the release of the Scavenger Skill comes a whole host of new, powerful upgrades. These all have Scavenger level requirements, and are accessed through the Resource Trader, just off to the east of the Upgrade Chest.

With Update 136, the Emperor Upgrade Chest was added giving access to some of the best items obtainable! When upgrading you can select the option to Safe Keep your item for a fee of 750M DSCoins this option is 100% Guaranteed to save the item should the upgrade fail. This is 100% Guaranteed to save the item. You can also decide to pay 400M DSCoin and have a 50% chance to keep the item should the upgrade fail. The choice is yours. You can also choose neither and run the risk of losing the item completely should the upgrade fail
