During the fight, Eldric and Branda will harmlessly "fight" each other, conjuring spells. This can either summon a row of flames or ice that restrict movement, or they may summon three respective elemental beings; these attack the player, rather than each other. 

When one of the giants reaches 35% HP or less Hitpoints, both will teleport onto the arena, becoming static for the rest of the encounter. They will periodically cast an arena-wide spell (with the safe tile at the converging point), dealing moderate damage if the safe spot is not stood on. 

To remove ice and fire flames, the player must use the [[Staff of Limitless Water]], or [[Staff of Limitless Fire]].
